Shipping policy

By placing an order for an alcoholic beverage through the J.K. Carriere website, you formally represent that you are at least 21 years of age and that the intended recipient of the shipment is at least 21 years of age.

All shipments of alcoholic beverages within the United States require an adult signature at the time of delivery that cannot be waived. No wines can be left on porches or doorsteps. Therefore, we recommend that a daytime/business address be provided for wine shipments, or you designate a ‘hold at’ shipping address (eg, Fedex Office, Walgreens, and other retailers) for pick up on your schedule (please contact us for assistance).

Shipping

We have licenses to ship to: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, D.C., Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

We take great caution in shipping our wines, as they are sensitive to extreme temperatures (below 30 degrees or above 75 degrees). Once an order is received, we will communicate with you directly about expected ship date, including any holds for inclement weather along the route and recommended workarounds (e.g., Air shipping, Fedex Cold Chain, or holding your wine until shipping is safe), as well as an estimated arrival date. 

You will receive tracking information from Fedex or UPS once your box is picked up at the winery. We highly recommend you create your own Fedex My Choice/My UPS Choice accounts to better manage notifications about your box’s progress to your doorstep.

Fedex/UPS will make three delivery attempts before returning the package to us. If you know you will not be able to sign at the time of the delivery, please contact the carrier directly through the tracking email. If you need help, contact us at 503-554-0721.

If your wine is not successfully delivered and is returned back to us, we will contact you to arrange re-shipment. Please note that if your wine is returned to us, you may be charged the shipping cost required to resend the package.

No wines can be left on porches or doorsteps.
